Total Rubbish
Total Rubbish was a final year student project and is continuing as a personal development project. The game was initialized by the module prompt "couch co-op". From there I set out to create design documentation for a game that I knew I could get to a playable state in the short amount of development time that we had to work with. All aspects of the game were developed by myself. From UI Design, to Environment Art, Programming and Animation. Having already done several group projects in which I managed a team of developers in various principles. I really wanted to challenge myself and further develop my skills in all the key principle areas of game development. Particularly my programming, as understanding the limits of code helps with other design principles. The project in it's current state is very flexible, meaning that I can focus on developing the art and visual aspects of the game without having to adjust any code. This means I can easily create different themed levels that will give me the opportunity to slowly develop an art style/direction that can be carried into other future projects and eventually into full release indie development projects.
